David (HeavyD) Williams. 44, departed his life on Friday, June 13, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. He was a Lifelong resident of Hartford, CT.  He was loved by many  and stood as a pillar of his community.  He was born  to the late Dudley Williams and Clara(Williams)Foster and husband Kingsley Foster.

He leaves to mourn his three caring sisters, Imogene Dennis, Priscilla(Dickens) Cannon and Laura Baker. His brothers, Joe Cannon, Otha Cannon, Willie Cannon, Earl Williams. A dedicated daughter, Shanikwa Williams. Three proud Sons, Rashawn Dubose-Williams, David Williams and Davon Williams, two brother in laws, Everton Dickens and John Reaves; two sister in laws, Stephanie Cannon and Mary Williams.  He also leaves behind his wonderful granddaughter Zamiah Berthrandt that he was only able to meet once before his departure. A host of nephews, nieces and not to forget many friends along with his best friend John (Lil John)Wilson “Heavy D” truly made an amazing impact on everyone’s  life he was apart of He was predeceased by his sisters Dawn Reaves And Diane Williams.

“Heavy D”will be remembered as a hero  for his giving and kind heart He was a father, brother, cousin, son and a friend to all that knew him. His loving arms will truly be missed as they welcomed everyone as family no matter their walk of life He will also be remembered as a man who was a true solider and a fighter. His strength was motivated by a life time of devotion to his family and friends. David was dedicated to his family and loved them unconditionally.  As this Angel is looking down from Heaven, he leaves his family behind to follow his legacy. We were all inspired by his strength and will to live.
