Winnie Renee Dawson Pusey

Winnie Reneé Dawson Pusey, 57 of Hartford, CT was born on January 25,1965, in Moultrie, GA to the late 

Vallie L. Marshall Kerbo Dawson and Oscar Dawson, Jr.

As a child, she attended Colquitt County High School in Molutrie, GA. Reneé came to live in Hartford with 

her Aunt Eloise Harris and Uncle Bob Harris at an early age. She loved her Hartford siblings, Sheila, and

Doug Harris. Reneé was married to her beloved husband Kenton Pusey of Hartford for

9 years. She accepted Christ at an early age, and was baptized at Easter Baptist Church in Moultrie. 

Reneé was President of the Usher’s Ministry at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church for more than 35 years.

Reneé was always ready to selflessly contribute her time

finances, and to community services whenever the ushers and others

contacted her. Reneé enjoyed her work for 16 years as an employee at the “Women’s League Day Care” 

in Hartford. She loved her connections she had with the children at the day care along with the

children at her church. She adored her Marshall family and initiated

monthly family zoom meetings. She loved traveling and hosting 

barbecues and card games at her home. Renee’s wheelchair never

prevented her from living her life!

In addition to her husband Kenton Pusey, she leaves to cherish her memories, her dear sister Clara

 Kerbo, Atlanta, GA; Sis. Sheila Harris, Hartford, CT; Brother Doug Harris, Charlotte NC; her beloved 

Niece Waynette Kerbo, Atlanta, GA; her beloved cousins Essence Perry, Lewis Perry, Marquis Little 

(Godson); Great niece and nephews Tamiya Cofield, Tamir Baynes, and Tamari Whately, along with a 

host of other Godchildren whom she loved dearly, and her beloved family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Reneé was predeceased by her Aunt Eloise Harris, brother Reginald Dawson, 

Cousins William and Robert Harris.
