Willie James Burgess

Willie James Burgess, 78, beloved husband of Betty L. Burgess, passed away peacefully in the company of his loving family on Monday, June 9, 2014.  He was born October 24, 1935 in Pavo, Georgia.  He was predeceased by his parents, Beatrice and Ulysess Burgess; two brothers, Ular C. and Gus Burgess; two sisters, Mary Lois Stewart and Betty Jackson.  Besides his loving wife, he is survived by two sons, Dennis and Willie (Carol) Burgess, both of Rochester, NY; four daughters, Denise (Eddie) Flowers, Cynthia, and Joyce Burgess all of Rochester, NY, and Shirley (Joseph) Ellison of Hartford CT; three sisters, Jeanette Lee of Ewing, NJ, Leona and Ethlean Burgess both of Trenton, NJ; two aunts, Mary Thomas and Lilly Bell Giddens both of West Palm Beach, FL; Twenty seven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and four Godchildren.                                              Calling hours is Saturday, June 14^th from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. funeral service immediately following at Phillips Metropolitan C.M.E. Church, 2500 Main Street, Hartford, CT.  Burial at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT.   All Faith Memorial Chapel, 90 John Fitch Blvd, South Windsor, CT has charge of arrangements.
