William James Ross Jr. affectionally known (Jun-Jun) departed
this life Saturday, March 28, 2026. He was born in Hartford,
Connecticut on May 9, 1960 to William James Ross Sr. and
Mildred Turner Ross who both have predeceased him.
William, (Jun-Jun) was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan who loved his
family and also knew that he was loved. He knew that he could
count on his family at any time. His oldest brother James said
when he called with what he wanted done, he expected it to be
done and right away too. That’s because he was the baby boy and
he knew he had it like that. Brother Don said he was very helpful
and always helped when it came to fixing things. Most
importantly, his sister Shelly says that her youngest brother knew
the Word of God. He would often finish quoting scripture before
preachers could get the words off their tongues.
Jun-Jun was predeceased by his parents William James Ross, Sr.
and Mildred Turner Ross; and a sister, Lois Ann Ross. William
will be sorely missed by his five sisters, Mamie Dash, Shelly
Pelzer, Winnie Ross, Denise Ross Jones (James) and Bernice
Johnson; three brothers, James Ross, Donald Ross (Candace) and
Frederick Ross along with a host of nieces and nephews;
supportive friend, ex-wife Georgia Green Ross and step-son
Nathan; friends Darryl Howard, Sam Bailey and Darren
Hightower. William James Ross Jr., (Jun-Jun) will be greatly
missed by all of his loved ones.
