William Freeman Evans, age 59, of Hartford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026.
Born on August 14, 1966, William was born and raised in Hartford, where he built lifelong friendships and cherished his community. He was a kind, loving, and devoted man whose greatest joy came from staying connected with the people he loved. Whether it was a daily phone call to check on family and friends, sharing a laugh, or enjoying a heartfelt conversation, William made everyone feel cared for and appreciated.
William enjoyed watching sports and spending time with family and friends. He was known for his warm smile, infectious laughter, and generous heart. His presence brought comfort and happiness to those around him, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Family and friends will forever miss his daily phone calls, thoughtful conversations, and unwavering love.
William leaves to cherish his memory his beloved daughter, Serena Annette Evans; his son, William Freeman Evans III; his brothers, Terrence Evans and Tyrone Napper; and his sister, Nardine McKnight, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Berniece Napper; his father, William Freeman Evans, Sr.; his sister, Sherrie Evans; and his brother, Kent McKnight.
