William (Billy) Campbell ,73 of Hartford CT, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on August 29,1952 in Hartford Ct, son of the late William Campbell and Muriel Broadhurst. William was affectionately known by his family and friends as Billy Boi. Billy was a loving Son, Brother, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, and Godfather.
He attended Thomas Snell Weaver High School in Hartford, Ct.Billy relocated to Easton, PA to be with his sister Lisa and family. While there he worked at Pyramid Health Care for several years. He retired and returned to his home state Connecticut.
Billy lived a life marked by love, kindness, thoughtfulness, and had a passionate spirit that touched the hearts of everyone he knew. He loved to travel, spend time outdoors, as well as watching his favorite T.V. shows Supernatural, Wednesday, and Perry Mason to name a few. He enjoyed listening to oldies but goodies, especially music by Charlie Wilson. One of the things he was well known for was his jokes! The most important thing for Billy was spending time with family and making memories.
He leaves to cherish his memory and legacy his beloved daughters, Dawn Atkins-Peavy and husband Leon Jr. of Manchester, CT; and Constance Mapp and husband Gary of Springfield,Massachusetts;
seven grandchildren, Quincy Atkins Sr, Oscar Anglin, Donovan Atkins, Terrod Kerr, Zahkeer Kerr, and Jusaiah Kerr, and Dyvine Kerr, Three great grandkids: Quincy Atkins Jr and Noah Kerr, Jolani Torres.
Eight Sisters: Lisa Triplin, Susan Whitehead, Kathy Washington,Judith Dailey, Eileen Albert, Roxanne Potter and husband Don,Lee Ann Sheff and husband Claude and Maria Turner and husband Daryl, and brother, Mark Campbell; Two Bonus Granchildren, Tre’zion and Marco Dewar.
A special Niece Lauri Strong and Two special Nephews Anthony Triplin and Corey Triplin, three Godchildren: Pastor Lisa Gadson, Shana Atkins, and Marlon Atkins, a lifelong friend Jerry Collins, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Janice Campbell, three brothers, Allen Campbell his best friend, David Van Allen, and Keith Martin, a favorite Aunt Edith Van Allen.
