William Berry, Jr

William Berry, Jr passed away on August 10, 2021 Glastonbury Health Care Center.  He was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1929 and came to Connecticut in 1953, where he worked for Northeast Utilities until he retired. He served in the U.S. Army from May 1951 to April 1953, during the Korean War.

He leaves behind to mourn him his daughter Constance Simmons of Manchester and his three grandchildren, Tanya Guy-Mitchell of Windsor, Tamika Thurston of Manchester, and William Guy of Manchester, along with many others.

He was predeceased by his wife Lucy Berry.

Services will be held Aug. 18, 2021 from 10 a.m. to noon at Shiloh Baptist Church, 350 Albany Ave, in Hartford.

Interment will follow at Middletown Military Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT at 1 p.m
