Vivian C. Dawson, passed away on May 1, 2017 at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Clarksdale, MS and had lived in Manchester, CT the past 42 years. She was a graduate of Northwest Catholic High and the University of CT. She worked for the State of CT for over 25 years. Vivian developed a love for Crossfit and held a National Championship in Weightlifting. Her passion and love for life touched everyone she came in contact with, especially her family and friends. She is survived by a son, Alexander Dawson; her mother, Floyree McGhee; father, Edward Craftsic; sister, Veronica Dawson-Melton; brother, Henry Dawson; an aunt, Mary McGhee; a niece, Krista S. Melton; nephew, Spencer K. Melton; a host of other relatives and friends.
