Tyrone "Yank" Butler

Tyrone “Yank” Butler, 56 of East Hartford, beloved husband of Shawnie Butler of 32 years was called home peacefully on Thursday, November 24, 2022 surrounded by his love ones.

Born on October 19, 1966 in Hartford, CT to Bettye Crane and predeceased by father Roy Crane.

Yank as many knew him, received his early education in the Hartford Public School system.  Because of his love for cars he started his own detailing company.  Tyrone then went on to start his Trucking Delivery Business “Butler and Son”. He was also a self-taught carpenter who completely transformed his home inside and out in which he  took great pride in. Often taking on jobs for family and friend. He was a perfectionist with everything that he did.

Everyone that knew Tyrone knew that his love for his family ran deep.  He was a strong protector of those he loved, especially his sisters.  Tyrone was a kid at heart that enjoyed watching cartoons with his best friend and daughter Rihanna.  During his later years he gained a love for planting and growing flowers around his yard.

Tyrone is comfortably resting in the hands of the lord. No more pain and suffering.

He leaves four children to cherish his memories: Tiffany Sutton, Tyrone Butler Jr, Rihanna Butler and Shakoia Jemison. Six siblings: Katrina (David), Camarillo, Ca; Leroy, Cordele, Ga; Lynn, Cordele, Ga; Teresa, Enfield, CT; Michael, Valdosta, Ga; Pamela, Hartford, CT and predeceased by brother Roderick. Two grandchildren: Deja and David.  A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Tyrone had a special relationship with his cousin Michael Butler and second family, The Franks.

CALLED AWAY

Our dear one was called away

And has gone with the lord to stay

Although his passing makes us weep

We rejoice that he rests safe in God’s keep.
