Tracey Hicks-Byrd

Tracey Hicks-Byrd, a loving wife, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2024. Born on October 26, 1961, Tracey was known for her warm heart, free spirit and unwavering dedication to her family and friends.

Tracey found great joy in spending time with her husband Archie Byrd. Together, they created a loving home filled with beautiful decorations and cherished moments. One of her favorite pastimes was relaxing on her porch, where she would enjoy the tranquility of her surroundings. Tracey also loved phone conversations with loved ones, working with her clients, shopping, knitting, crocheting as well as spending quality time with her family, friends and dog. 

Her passion for helping others was evident in all aspects of her life. Tracey's kindness and generosity touched the lives of many, making her a treasured friend to all who knew her.

Tracey joins her loving parents, Carolyn and Pernell Hicks, in Heaven. She is survived by her devoted husband, Archie Byrd; her eldest sister, Dawn Moore; her youngest sister, Dayrea Hicks-Richards; her nephew, Pernell Hicks; her niece, Daysha Hicks; her great-grandsons, Eli Hubbard-Percy and Maddix Hicks; her sisters-in-law, Stephanie, Crystal, and Kimberly Byrd; brother-in-law Philip Bryd, her granddaughters, Renita Morgan and Janyi Byrd; her grandsons Ricky Ellis, Roddick Eaddy Jr., Jevon Williams, eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; her best friend, Erica Jenkins; and a host of many more family members and friends.

She was a beloved member of her family, and her memory will forever be cherished by those she leaves behind.

Tracey Hicks-Byrd will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her.
