Timothy dedicated over 31 years as a chef at the University of Hartford, where he was more than just a colleague — he was family. Known for his leadership, humor, and generosity, he made a lasting impact on his coworkers and community as a respected Union Local 217 president, steward and mentor to many. His dedication to his craft and his unwavering work ethic inspired all who had the privilege of working alongside him especially the student workers that was assigned to him in the kitchen. He always looked for opportunity to drop nuggets of wisdom into the lives of others.

Timothy’s life was also deeply rooted in his faith. As a dedicated member of Grace Worship Center Church, he served as an Adjutant to Bishop Hodge and as a Minister on the Ministerial Alliance. Tim lived his values of kindness, service, and love for others every day always ready to lend a helping hand or offer support to anyone in need.

Beyond his faith and career Timothy found joy in life’s adventures. He was an enthusiastic traveler, with Aruba holding a special place in his heart. He was a passionate supporter of Atlanta sports teams, he cheered enthusiastically for his favorite football, basketball, and baseball teams year round celebrating every victory with pride.

Tim loved old cars and would enjoy spending time with his friend Marcus at

Norris Barbershop Who also shared his passion. He loved summer days spent

in the garage with his car affectionately known as the “dirty bird” taking a

ride into Hartford or attending the occasional car show.

He was known for his sense of humor, caring nature, and devotion to family, and would often reflect on the many good times spent with co workers. Timothy leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew him. His laughter, warm spirit, and steadfast presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends whose lives were touched by his generosity and heart.

Timothy had a special bond with brother-in-law’s Lincoln (Loxley) Benet and Dwight Wilson, and his niece Ayisha Benett. He loved spending time reminiscing about when he first arrived in Ct, teaching Ayisha how to walk and joking about who was the oldest with Dwight. Lots of laughter and love made his days memorable as he looked forward to planning his next trip to Florida to be with family and friends.

Though Timothy has departed this life, his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him and his legacy will live on forever in his children, grandchildren and all his many nieces and nephews. He loved you all !
