Susie Wilson-Brown

Susie Wilson-Brown (Lady), 82 of Hartford, CT departed this life on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center in East Hartford, CT.  Susie was born on January 1,1942 to her parents, the late Eugene and Hattie Spencer-Wilson in Sanford, Alabama.   Susie was predeceased by her son Kevin A. Brown, brothers Eugene Wilson Jr., Johnnie D. Wilson and Joe Wilson: a brother-in-law, Robert Johnson, a sister, Louise Mildred Wilson, and sisters-in-law, Marlette Greene, Ruthie Wilson and her beloved dog, Shaggy.

Susie graduated Perry County Training School in Uniontown, Alabama then relocated to CT, never forgetting her southern roots.  She found a home church as a deaconess at Hopewell Baptist Church in Windsor CT.   She enjoyed cooking from scratch and entertaining family and friends.  She was a hard worker, she retired from banking after 25 years, and nursing after 10 years.  After retirement Susie enjoyed more travelling and playing BINGO.

As a lovely wife and devoted mother, Susie leaves behind her beloved husband, Ronald M. Brown Sr. of 62 years, (2) sons Ronald M. (Loria) Brown Jr. of Sanford, NC and Timothy C. (Kellie) Brown, Sr. of East Hartford, CT; (6) grandchildren, Ronald M. Brown III, Timothy C. Brown, II, Susan V. Brown Tyrie D. Brown, Jasmine Robinson and Jessica Beaver (5) great grandchildren, Kevin T. Burnett, Kendra D. Burnett, Romelo M. Brown, Kamorah L. Brown and Kyrie L. Brown. (3) sisters Annie Wilson, Kattie Thomas, Olivia Johnson and (1) brother Floyd Wilson all of Hartford, CT.   (1) sister-in-law Sylvia Brown of Canton, Ohio.  She also leaves to cherish her memory to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
