Shelia Yvonne Thompson

Shelia Yvonne Thompson, age 65, died peacefully in her sleep, in her bed on January 2nd 2024. She is survived by her two children and her grandchildren. Her family was her entire world and she would sacrifice the world to make sure that they are safe and provided for. 

Shelia was born in Murfreesboro, NC on February 17th 1958. After graduating from high school she relocated to Connecticut where she worked at Aetna. While there she met Aundre Thompson and they married and had two kids, Aundre and Michelle. They were divorced shortly thereafter and also eventually left Aetna and went on to work at Iron Mountain and while there she met the man that many would consider to be her soul mate and her life line, Devon Dowdy and the two were together for fifteen plus years. 

Besides her children she is survived by her mother, Shirley Lassiter, her two brothers, Jerome and Larry as well as her sister Henda along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
