Shay-Lyn Denise Pearson

Shay-Lyn Denise Pearson, 36, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 18, 2025. She was born on May 24, 1989 in Hartford, Connecticut, to Rosalyn Forant and the late Stanford Pearson.

Shay attended Weaver high school in Hartford and was a member of the Track team. She dedicated her life to caring for others. She worked with children at Loomis Chaffee School childcare and later as a caregiver for elderly clients. Her caring nature was seen in everything she did. Shay-Lyn loved life. She was fun to be around and brought joy and laughter to others.

Shay-Lyn was preceded in death by her father, Stanford Pearson, her Grandmother Rosemary Foster, and her sister Diane Turner. She is survived by her daughter, Amina Pearson; her mother, Rosalyn Forant; stepmother, Herma Pearson; stepfather, Albert Scott and his wife, Dawn; husband, Jeffery Dennis; brothers, Stanford Jr., Ronald, and Christopher Pearson; sisters, Rachel, Una, Patrena, Althea, Roxana, Opal, and Shevane; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends, who will cherish and celebrate her memory.

As we mourn Shay’s passing, we are reminded that life is a precious gift. Cherish your loved ones and remind them that they matter—not only to you and the people around, but also to your Creator, Jehovah God.

A Celebration of Shay-Lyn is scheduled for Saturday, October 4th.
