Obituary

Sandra I. Acevedo Ramos of Hartford, CT born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, received her angel wings on January 30th, 2022. Transitioning from earthly life to heavenly life, she has joined her parents, Sr. Arcadio Ramos Rodriguez & Sra. Felicita Benitez Ortiz, her brothers Roberto & Jose Manuel, and her husband Felix A. Acevedo, Jr. in the heavens above.
Sandra leaves a huge hole in the hearts of her loving sisters, Carmen Socorro, Iris Yolanda, Veneranda, Ana Elba, Vilma, Maria de los Angeles, and Carmen Nereida. As well as a hole in the hearts of her husband’s family, Eleuteria Acevedo, Carmen Acevedo, and all her brother-in-laws. Sandra’s undeniable love and support leave an unbearable pain in the hearts of her loving children and grandchildren:
Vilma I. Acevedo and her children, Jose Burgos, Jr.(great-grandchildren Joziah & Jay’valisse), Joseph, Joshua (great-granddaughter, Harmony), Natasha, and Christopher Santana.
Sandra Acevedo-Higgins and her husband, Peter Higgins, Sr., and their children, Perri, Tori, Peter Jr., Sandrea, Xiomara, and Liam Higgins.
Felix A. Acevedo III and his children, Adriel, Adriana (Mary Gonsalves), Julian (Keyla Rivas), Damion & Daymilani (Levon Gonzalez) Acevedo, and
Ileana Acevedo-Baisden and her husband Timothy Baisden, Jr., and their children, Ileaha Porter, Keiara, Maiah, Nicholas, and Timothy Baisden III. She will also be missed by her step-son Anthony Rivera, many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Sandra loved to shop, cook, dance, clean (yes, clean!), and treated everyone who entered her home as if they were family. She became a mother to the friends of her children and a grandmother to the friends of her grandchildren. Sandra was a youthful mother and grandmother who could work two shifts, come home and happily cook meals for family and friends. She made sure that birthdays, holidays, and each of our days were filled with love and laughter. We were blessed to have had a strong, loving, beautiful mother and grandmother. Until now, we didn’t know the word “without” as she would move heaven and earth to ensure we had what we needed.
Calling hour will be held on Saturday, February 12th at 10:00 am -11:00 am, a celebration of life at 11:00 am -12:00 pm at All Faith Memorial Chapel 90 John Fitch Blvd South Windsor, CT followed by the burial services at  Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield, CT.
