Ruby Hammonds

Ruby Hammonds, 82, entered eternal rest on Friday, February 20, 2026 at the Park Place Healthcare Facility.   She was born on  March 22, 1943 in Sylvester, Georgia.  Ruby was the daughter of the late Adella Richardson and Will Richardson.  She was a member of the Pilgram Way Baptist Church, Windsor, CT.  She worked for 15 years at Society for Savings, before that she worked at G. Fox.

After her health began to fail and she could not get out, you could find Ruby reading, listening to the radio (gospel music), or working fill-in-puzzles. 

Besides her parents, Ruby was predeceased by her only child and son, Thomas Hammonds. She leaves to cherish her memory, Church family and close friends, Gail Kimble, Mattie Johnson, Margaret Joiner and Antionette Woodard.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 4, 11 am with calling hour 10 am at All Faith Memorial Chapel, 90 John Fitch Blvd. So. Windsor, CT.
