Ronald Young

Ronald Lee Young departed this life on Thursday, (November 6th, 2014) at The Hospital of Central Connecticut at New Britain General in New Britain, CT at the age of 65. He was born February 22, 1949 in Hartford, CT. He was predeceased by his parents Edward Young and Lelia (Wharton) Young both of North Carolina but resided in Hartford for many years; and his brother Robert Wharton of Wallingford, CT. Brother Young leaves three siblings, Maurice Young of Massachusetts, Frances Gilbert of New Britain, and Debra Young of Georgia. Brother Young also leaves his former wife and trusted friend Louella Johnson of Newington. Brother Young was the father of six children, Carla Young of Newington, the late Brian Young of Hartford, Glenn Young of Georgia, Robin Young-Chambers of West Hartford, Carlien Young of Georgia and Latoya Young-Conley of Alabama. He also was the grandfather of 9 grandchildren - Parise and Brandie Williams, Bria Moore, Robin and Alexx Chambers, Amber and Malea Young and Serenity and Christian Conley. He also leaves a beloved niece Jaime Young, an Aunt, Louise Wharton in New Jersey, a host of cousins in New Jersey and California and many close friends in the Hartford area. Brother Young was a faithful man of God and a faithful member of The First Cathedral in Bloomfield where he served as a choir member. Services will be held Thursday morning at The First Cathedral in Bloomfield, CT. Calling hours are set from 10 a.m.-11 a.m., with funeral services at 11 a.m. All Faith Memorial Chapel has charge of the arrangements. :
