Richard Lee Hardy

Richard Lee Hardy aka "Money" of Hartford, CT was born June 18th 1947. He departed this life on March 4th 2018. He was the son of Forest Hardy Sr. and Bertha Smith of Gordonville, Alabama. He married Annie C. Thigpen in June 1970, and to this union two children were born. He was an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church for many years. He retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in 2002 after 32 years of service. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his stepmother Ida Mae Hardy of Gordonville, AL, his son Shawn Hardy and his wife Elizabeth Hardy of Windsor, CT, & daughter Kristin Hardy of East Hartford, CT. Five grandchildren Christopher Hayes and wife Greta of Tucker, GA and Jonathan Hayes and wife Jenna of Lawrenceville, GA; Jahshua, Janaiyah, & Kaiyah Hardy of greater Hartford, CT. Three great grandchildren, Jonah, Jude and Graham. Best friend and cousin James Nelson Smith of East Hartford, CT, God daughter Chevita Stanley of Windsor, CT and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 10, 10 a.m. with Calling hour 9 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 350 Albany Avenue, Hartford, CT. Burial Will be in Mt. View Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT. All Faith Memorial Chapel, 90 John Fitch Blvd. So. Windsor, CT has charge of arrangements.
