Richard Chandler Jr.

Richard Chandler Jr. affectionately known as “June” passed away peacefully on Friday, May 14, 2021 with his loving family by his side. June was born on February 2, 1966 in Uniontown, Alabama and came to Connecticut at the young age of 12. June attended Weaver High School where he graduated in 1984. He loved fishing, grilling and being around his loved ones. He enjoyed watching his grandsons play football as he attended all their games and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. 

He is survived by his loving parents, Beatriz Chandler of East Hartford, CT and Richard Chandler Sr. of Uniontown, AL. His beautiful life will be remembered fondly by his children Richard Chandler III and his wife Shalynn Chandler of Bloomfield, CT, Eleana Chandler of East Hartford, CT and Carmen Chandler of Bayamon, PR. All of whom he loved dearly.

June also leaves behind his loving partner Jamie “KiKi” Rheaume of Hartford, CT and his four grandsons whom he adored; Richard IV, Levi, Camren Chandler of Bloomfield, CT and Joseph Valdez Chandler of Bayamon, PR.

June was a protector of his siblings Leon, Michael, Rodney (Andrea), Patricia and Cotina Chandler all of Connecticut; Shiela, Cindy and Dwayne of Alabama. He was predeceased by two siblings Gladys Chandler and Lester Holiday.

He leaves many nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss him dearly. His special friends who were considered family are Pamela Matthews, Sydney “Terry” Mark, Anthony “Tone” Culver, Miguel Amaral, William Gonzalez, Juan “Freak” Romero, Johnny “Pig” Hardy, Courtney Weaver, Miguel “Rocky” Dejesus and Marvin “Buddy” Harris.

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
