Rebecca E. McCrorey Kapusniak

Rebecca E. McCrorey Kapusniak, 67 of East Hartford, Connecticut, departed this life Thursday, May 23, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family.  Rebecca was born in Winnsboro, S.C., on April 24, 1952 the daughter of the late Andrew McCrorey Sr. and Clara Young-McCrorey.   Rebecca is survived by her husband Richard Kapusniak and her three children, Don Jackson (East Hartford, CT), Melissa Jackson (East Hartford, CT) and Aisha Jones (East Hartford, CT).  Monica Lewis, Pastor Tervon Walton, Jerris and Jerrod Holloway. Her step-mother Albertina McCrorey (Hartford) and 5 surviving step sibilings. 

The loves of her life; eight grandchildren, Alesha Stephens, Sidney Jackson-Diaz, Charles Artis, Bryanna Stephens, Leah Gonzalez, Jermey Blake, Prince Womack and Donavin Jackson. Two great grandchildren Brooklyn Walcott and Larnell Midgette. A host of nephews, nieces and relatives.

Rebecca was the 9^th born of 14 children, she is survived by Elder Queen McCrorey, Clara Virgo, Rose McCrorey, Charles (Claudia) McCrorey.  Predeceased by; Bishop Andrew McCrorey Jr., Louise White, Rev. Leroy McCrorey, James McCrorey, Patricia McCrorey, Rev. Bobby McCrorey, Johnny McCrorey, Willie McCrorey and Allen McCrorey and 3 predeceased step sibilings. 

Rebecca graduated from East Hartford High school and attended Morris school of business.  Her love for business and strong leadership skills allowed her to manage several retail businesses, throughout her years of working.  She was a kind, compassionate, and caring individual who showed love to anyone who crossed her path.  Rebecca was known for cooking and entertaining.  Her legacy will always be her love of kids and helping those in need.  Rebecca adored her grandkids and enjoyed spending quality time with them. She was passionate about helping all kids in need, which is why her house was always filled with love, laughter and joy.
