Paul E. Woods

Paul E. Woods 75, of Hartford, Ct. entered eternal rest on December 27, 2020. He was born on October 16, 1945; to the late Leroy Woods and Mary Stewart in Flatwood, Alabama.  Paul graduated in 1966 from Marango County Training in Thomaston, Alabama. He worked several years for Hartford Snacks delivering Wise products to every store in the city of Hartford. He was also the co – owner of Alabama Lounge. Paul loved people. He loved his family, friends, and even strangers. He was a sharing person. He didn’t mind sharing if he had it and you needed it he would definitely give it to you. Paul never got mad and if he did he would say, “they need to cut that shit out”. 

            Paul was a sharp dresser. He was always color coordinated from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet. He was an avid card player. He loved playing bid – whist at The American Legion. He also loved playing daily numbers. Paul loved cars, trucks, cooking and eating; but his greatest love of all is DEM BOYZ, that’s right The Dallas Cowboys. Paul was a member of New Nutmeg Charter Oak Lodge #67 Elk’s Lodge, and a member of Chicks After Hour.        

            He leaves to cherish his memory his life – long partner for 30 plus years Ruby Allman. 4 sons Robert D. Woods of Hftd, Ct. Trevon Holden of Seattle, WA, Justin Medina and Christopher Medina of South Hadley, MA. 2 daughters Carpretta Holden of Seattle, WA, and Donna Abernathy of Hftd, CT. 3 sisters Emma Woods of Pine Hill, Ala. Peggy Woods of Morrow, Ga. Roberta Quartes of Camden Ala. 4  brothers Offer Woods of East Hartford, Ct. Lorenzo Woods of Hartford of Hftd, Ct.  Curtis ( Betty) Woods of Camden, Ala. Anthony Woods of Pine Hill, Ala. A special niece Vera Lucy. 2 special nephews Nathaniel Woods of Springfield, Ma. Isaiah Lawrence of Camden, Ala.  3 step children Nancy Allman, Ena Allman, Bruce( Angie) Allman, Sister – in –law Clair Woods of Cleveland, OH. Devoted Friends The Lucy Family, Lizzie Manson, Renee Mathews, Limpy. Adopted son Reggie Solomon. A host of Grandchildren, Great –Grandchildren, Step Grandchildren, Step Great Grandchildren, Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, and Relatives.

            Paul was predeceased by his son Paul Grant, daughter Mary Grant, 2 sisters  Mary Woods and Barbara Butler. 2 brothers Edgar Woods and Levan Woods. 1 sister-in- law Loretha Woods. Adopted son Pat Wooten, stepson Steve Allman, and ex- wife Martha Woods.
