Michael Jaye Hite

Michael Jaye Hite, of Hartford, CT, passed away on March 1st, 2026 at the age of 45. 

Born on February 22th, 1981 to Keith Dwane Smith and Cheryl Ann Hite, Michael was known for his gentle spirit, his love for music, basketball, football, and most importantly his love for family. He was a devoted Father, brother and friend who lived life to the fullest. Michael's courageous spirit, his amazing ability with words as he was an amazing lyricist, and his love for family, has left a lasting impact on everyone he met. 

He is survived by his father Keith D. Smith (Donna L. Smith), his significant other Kamesha Golden, and their children Miquan, Kauri, Quran, Asani, and Imani and Mason Rivera-Hite, son of Katherine Rivera.  As well as his brothers, Keith Hite, Derek Franklin, and sisters Lachelle Terry, Tamara Hite, Rosemary Hite, Trenese Hall (Daniel Hall), and Keina Rodriguez (Arthur Rodriguez), and a slew of Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many beloved friends.  

Michael was predeceased by his mother Cheryl Ann Hite.
