Louis Weaver-Bey Obituary

 

Louis E. Weaver-Bey, 86, of Hartford, made his transition from this life on May 15, 2023. Born on March 14, 1937 to the late John and Mamie(Pittman) Weaver-Bey, he was one of eight children. Louis was a man of many names, known as Louie, Lou, Louigie,Dad, Chewy and PopPop, he formed many bonds with those who loved him. He spent many years as a truck driver and he was always one to tell you about the latest product or gadget he was into. Funny,quick-witted and always fashionable, he made sure his presence was always felt. He will truly be missed! He is survived by his sisters, Marva Clay-Bey and Sandra Weaver-Bey. He also leaves his son Wayne Tripp (Shantae), 2 grandsons, Wayne Jr and Karter, 3 granddaughters, Tiffany, Waynette and Tela, 8 great-grandchildren, as well as his bonus children, Robin and Clifford Schley, bonus grands, Burgandee, Imani, Malik and Shyquan. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Among them, his 2 closest friends, Ernest Scruse and Fitz. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his life partner Barbara Schley and her daughter Chrystal, his brothers John Jr., Henry(Berniece), Roger(Zera), and Richard. His sister Adrienne, brother in-law James Sr., sister in-law Yvonne, niece Deborah, nephews Darryl and Rajah, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Final arrangements will be private.
