Lindsey Woodard, 75, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2017 at his home in Springfield, MA. Born on November 9, 1941 in Winnsboro, SC to the late Mckinley Woodward Sr., and Lucy Ruff Woodward, he grew up in Hartford, CT and was a graduate of Hartford Public High School. Lindsey was a veteran serving in the United States Army. He worked at Hartford Technologies in Rocky Hill for over 30 years until his retirement. Lindsey loved the Lord and served at the First Cathedral while living in Hartford, CT., and then at Endtime Revival Holiness Church during his years in Springfield, MA. In his leisure time, he enjoyed painting and stained glass art. Lindsey leaves to cherish his memory his beautiful wife of 49 years Mary Woodard, Mother Lucy Woodward, his “favorite” mother-in-law Mrs. Ruth Jenkins, Brothers Joseph, Mckinley Jr.(Mac), Heyward, and Donald (Betsy) Woodward, and a sister, Ruth Woodward, and a Sister-in-law-Rebecca Woodward and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Mckinley Sr., and brother Burnice Woodward. Calling hours will be on Sunday February 26th from 6 pm to 8 pm at All Faith Memorial Chapel, 90 John Fitch Blvd., South Windsor, CT. A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, February 27th at Christian Cathedral Church 205 Eastern Ave, Springfield, MA. Services begin at 12 noon, with calling hours at 11:30 am. Burial will be in Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, MA.
