Obituary

Linda June Lee Kendrick of New Britain, Connecticut, peacefully transitioned on December 12, 2022. Born June 7, 1947, the youngest child of the late Charles Lee and Julia Bee (Hawk) Lee, Hartford, Connecticut. She was employed by the Hartford Courant. Growing up, Linda was a woman of strong baptist faith and she instilled in her children, the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right. Linda was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a tenacious woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Linda was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

Linda was predeceased by her parents Charles and Julia Lee, sisters: Caroline Gottshalk, Cora Sanders, Beverly Willingham, Doris Howard, Marion Jernigan, Shirley Lee, and Vivian Howard; brothers: Carlton Lee, Joseph Lee, Sharon Lee, Vernon Lee, and William Lee.

She is survived by her brother, Retired Air-Force Serviceman, Robert E. Lee (Janie) of Albany, Georgia; her six children: Robert L. Kendrick Jr., Shawn D. Kendrick of New Britain, Connecticut, Kim L. Kendrick of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Trevor L. Kendrick of East Hartford, Connecticut, Tusant D. Kendrick (Angie) of Franklin, Indiana, and Damon L. Kendrick (Sherrie) of Manchester, Connecticut; nine grand children: Ashley (Emilio) Sanchez-Kendrick, Kevin Kendrick, Diane Kendrick, Faatimah Kendrick of Georgia, Shanel Kendrick, Shaina Kendrick, Liliana Kendrick, Isaiah Kendrick and Dominick Kendrick of Texas; four great-grandchildren: Giselle Kendrick-Wellington of Georgia, Leilani Davila, Future Lee-Jones, and Dream Lee-Jones, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
