Lillie Ruth (Evans) Smith

Lillie Ruth (Evans) Smith of Hartford, CT, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2018. She was born December 8, 1946, in Quitman, GA, daughter of the late Rev. Chester and Sophronia (Denson) Evans Sr. Mrs. Lillie was a virtuous woman who attended Hartford Public Schools and raised three Beautiful Children whom she cherished. Lillie loved reading and was extremely knowledgeable, she also loved long car rides, listing to music and took great joy building figure models, a hobby she loved.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Gus Smith Jr., sister, Doshia Evans and her brother Chester Evans III. She is survived by her loving son Gus Smith III, (wife Gerri), of Windsor, CT, a daughter Vivian Diane Smith of Youngstown, OH and Lawrence Martin Smith (wife Casandra) of Newbury, TN; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives andand friends who will all miss her.
