Julia Serrano

Julia Serrano, 75, of East Hartford , CT passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Hartford Hospital Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico , she was the daughter of the late Augusto Serrano and Arcadia Rodriguez.  Julia is survived by her daughters Virgen Velez of East Hartford, Maria Velez of Waterbury, Myriam Martinez of Manchester and Mariana Rodriguez of Springfield, MA; sons Hector Velez of Meriden and Alberto Serrano of Glastonbury. She also leaves behind sisters Maria Serrano of Meriden, Virginia  Guevarra of Cayey, PR and brothers Augusto Serrano of Cayey, PR and Ruben Serrano of Hartford; 19 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces, and many friends she loved dearly.  She was predeceased by her daughter Juanita Velez.  Julia loved the kitchen and enjoyed cooking, spending many of her years working as a cook, cooking at home for her family and friends who she enjoyed hosting in her home.
