John Edward Davis known to many as "JD" departed this life peacefully on May 10, 2026 at the age of 71. He was born on October 14, 1954 in Greenville North Carolina to the late Ellis, Davis Cooper and James Davis Sr. In 1965, John relocated to New Haven, where he spent most of his life. He attended Lee high school and later completed his education at James HillHouse high school. John went onto Work many years in the engineering field, where he was respected for his dedication and strong work ethic. John wants a faithful member of New Guest Outreach Ministry, where he enjoyed fellowship and worship within his church community.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, his sister, Beatrice Perry, and his brothers Rossie Cooper of North Carolina and James, Sam and Melvin Davis of New Haven. John was the last surviving brother among his siblings. John leave to cherish his memory, his beloved sons, Nate Davis, and Nigel Johnson.
He is also survived by his loving sisters, Ruth Nixon, "the oldest one ", Pearl Davis, Ida Bell Davis, and Loretta Davis all of West Haven, Connecticut. John also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle's cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who loved him deeply and will forever treasure the memories they shared with him. John's kindness, wisdom, and love for family will never be forgotten. His presence will be greatly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
