James E. Gamble, Jr. 57, passed away peacefully
on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. He was born
in Hartford, CT to the late James Gamble, Sr.
His mother, Betty Jean Van Allen (Ronald)
currently resides in Hartford, CT. James is a
1983 graduate of Windsor High School. He was a
truck driver for JI Express, Boston, MA and City Fish in
Wethersfield, CT. He was also a counselor for Channel 3 Country
Camp and a well-known DJ–“Busy G.” James loved spending time
with his family. He enjoyed cooking, landscaping and tinkering with
his CB equipment, karate, and roller skating. James was a member
of Holy Temple Church of God in Christ. He received the Lord
Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and the baptism in the Holy
Ghost. He enjoyed reading and studying in Sunday School lasses. He
was the Male Chorus director, a leader in the “Men’s Fellowship”,
Outdoor Worship Media Dept., organizer of food service to an area
shelter and a helper to many. He leaves to cherish his memories,
his mother, Betty Jean VanAllen (Ronald); his wife, Sarah Gamble;
children – Natisha, Jasmine (Korey), Asia, Jerome, Dominque
(Wilson), James V. (Little Jimmy), James (JC), Shomari, Makiya; god
daughters - Tamara Anderson, Nicole Jones (Michael); god son -
Roman Roberts; grandchildren - Almahdi, Jaion, Lindsay, Jordyn,
Jaiden, Kamorah, Logan, Jahmir, King, Wilson, Jayliee, Keegan,
Maya, Cody, Masai, and Oliver; siblings - Vivian, Adrienne, Alisa,
Mia, Marlon, Derrick; special uncles – Arliss ”Uncle Flan” (Pearl),
Alonzo “Uncle Joe” (Beverly), Michael “Uncle Buck” (June), Stanley
”Uncle Nanny” (Andrea); special aunt, Aunt Pearl; special cousin,
Jerome, Scott, Andrea, Lori; special friends, Dwayne, Leon, Jason; a
hosts of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the Holy Temple
Family.
