It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of James Lee Evans, who departed this life on May 27, 2025, at the age of 61.

Born on June 15, 1963, in Springfield, Massachusetts, James was the beloved son of Odessa L. Evans and the late Seymour Evans. He grew up in Springfield, where he attended Technical High School, and later dedicated many years of hard work as a car dealer at Eddie Car Dealership.

James will be remembered by family and friends as a man full of joy, laughter, and warmth. His generous spirit and magnetic personality brought happiness to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He had an incredible ability to make people smile and was truly the kind of person everyone loved to be around.

James leaves behind a legacy of love through his cherished family. He is survived by his loving mother Odessa L. Evans (82), and his siblings: Charlene Edwards, Charlie Evans, Angelina Evans, and Dessalina Evans. He was a proud father to his daughter Yameda Evans and son Jermaine Evans, and a devoted grandfather to Tavaras (TJ), Matthew, Yameer, and Jeremy.

He is preceded in death by his father Seymour Evans, his brother Seymour Evans, and sisters Joanne Moss and Diana Evans.

James's life will be celebrated in the hearts of all who knew him, and his memory will be forever treasured.
