Hutson Clairmont Cox

Hutson Clairmont Cox, 66, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. He was born and raised in St. Michaels Barbados to his late parents Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd and Eretta Cox.Hutson was a self-employed carpenter.  He fathered three beautiful daughters Sharon and Kym Batson (of Barbados), and Shavon, and two handsome sons Jonathon (deceased) and Philip.  Hutson was blessed with 13 grandchildren and one great-grand.Hutson is survived by his devoted brothers Douglas, Johnston, and David, loving sisters Patsy, Ann, and Phyllis;  his uncle John Pilgrim of Canada and aunts Audrey Garvey and Odessa Poplin, both of Hartford; his special friend Bernadine Wilson and her son Travis; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends near and far.Hutson touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark mischievousness all the way to the end. To know him was to love him. Services will begin at 10 AM on Friday, May 5 at All Faith Memorial Chapel, 90 John Fitch Boulevard, South Windsor, CT.
