Obituary

Howard L, May, III, affectionately known as Howie, entered into eternal life on May 30, 2023. Howie worked at The Hartford Courant and held several other positions before retiring. Howie loved to sing and spend time with his friends and family.  Howie was the only son born to the now deceased Howard and Sadie May on November 28, 1960 in Hartford, CT. He will be lovingly missed by his sisters Gloria (William)Hart, Renee (Frederick) Riley, Yvonne May (Alphonso) Ford, Mary (Ernest) Jenkins and his devoted sister Michele May-Javeed. He was pre-deceased by his sister Denise May.  Howie had an infectious laugh and deeply loved his family which includes his aunt our Matriarch Vervatine Ford and   special cousins. During his long illness Howie was lovingly cared for by his sister Michelle along with his niece and nephew Daryl Lovett Sforza and Adriane Majors. Howie will be missed by his dear friends Chad Gelsomino, Scott Nelson and Clarence Rhodes along with a host of beloved nieces and nephews and other friends and relatives.

A celebration of Howie’s life will be held on July 23, 2023, between 1p.m. to 5 p.m. at Mckinne King American Legion Post 142 located at 2121 Main Street Hartford, CT 06120.
