Gladys Scott-Brooks

SSGT Gladys Scott Brooks of Hartford, CT received her angel’s wings on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 transitioning from here to her eternal rest in paradise with her Heavenly Father. 

She is predeceased by her parents Luther and Sarah Scott and oldest brother Rochester “Bonzey” Scott. She leaves to cherish her beloved sister Pastor Janette Scott Williams, her brother Jonathan Scott (Linda), niece Angelia Gail Scott (Jeffrey), nephew Dexter Eric Scott (Shelli), nephew Jonathan Scott Jr., great nephews Jayvin Esaias Haynes and Alexandro M. Aquino, Jonathan Jr., Anthony Jr., Andre, Jordan, Damien, and Vincent Scott; great-nieces Ayanna, Dominique; great-great nieces Sofia, Gabriella, and great-great nephew Alex Jr. Special friend and spiritual daughter Kathy Maddox, great great nieces Sofia, Gabriella, and great great nephew Alex Jr.  

Gladys was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army proudly serving her country. She worked at Hartford Hospital for  35 years and graciously retired. Upon retiring, Gladys spent her time serving as president of the Pastor’s aide, the church Ushers board, and the community NRZ. Gladys spent the remaining time doing things she loved the most, serving the Lord, cooking, shopping, traveling and making lovable memories with her sister, niece, nephew, great-nephew, the family dogs, family and friends.

Greatly loved, deeply missed. Her life was a blessing, her memories are a treasure. She is loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measures. We all loved Gladys but God loved her best.
