Georgia B. Byrd

Georgia B. Byrd affectionately known as Binky, departed this life peacefully on April 14, 2015  . She was born on January 6, 1946 in Halifax, VA to the late Hallie Lawson- Byrd and Charlie Byrd Sr. . She is survived by her longtime spouse, John D. Tiller of Hartford, CT ; children; Edwin Byrd of E. Hartford, CT and Allison Byrd of Hartford, CT; sisters; Irene (Lawrence) Oliver of Danville, VA ; Anna (Sonny) Cook of Washington, D.C; Hallie (Addie) Jones of Crystal Hill, VA; Carolyn (Earl) Hart of Halifax, VA and her brother Michael Byrd of Hartford.

Besides her spouse, children and brothers and sisters, she leaves to cherish her memories, her grandchildren; Dexter Byrd of E. Hartford; Carl Wilson of Hartford; Christopher Byrd Jr of Waterbury, CT and Danae Byrd of E. Hartford CT; nieces and nephews; special friends Barbara Miller of Hartford; Betty Jean & Heywood Jackson of Hartford and Constance Leggett - Mitchell  of E. Hartford; daughter-in- law Tarra Freeman and son-in-law Levar Bartrum and a host of relatives and friends.

Georgia was preceded in death by her beloved son Christopher Byrd Sr. ; sisters; Marjorie Dixon; Nellie Byrd; Alice Mae ; brothers Leon Byrd ; Donald Byrd and Charlie Byrd. ‘
