In her own words,
Frances Maria Williams-Cage was born on January 16, 1958, in Franklin, Louisiana to the late Francis Williams and late Clifford Roberson, Sr. She was baptized by the late Reverend Bennett of Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson, Louisiana. In 1995, Frances and her daughters Keyia and Brionne moved to East Hartford, Connecticut. In 2000, Frances and her daughters joined Shiloh Baptist Church in Hartford, Connecticut and later Impact Church in Hartford, Connecticut. Frances was employed by Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center in East Hartford, Connecticut for 23 years as well as Atria Senior Living in Glastonbury, Connecticut for 17 years.
She leaves behind in this world her for precious jewels to mourn her daughters Keyia Cage (Corey Stubbs), Brionne Cage-McFarlane (Kevin McFarlane), Kymora Rose Maria Stubbs, and Kysen Anthony McFarlane. She also leaves behind: her nephew whom she loved like a son Anthony Offiaeli, her significant other Wendell Morris of 29 years; her sister and best friend Abby Offiaeli (Aaron Petty) of Glastonbury, Connecticut; her sister Joyce Crenshaw of East Hartford, Connecticut; her sisters Anita Evans of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Nettie Rondeno of Atlanta, Georgia, Elaine Phillips of Baker, Louisiana, Sherel Roberson of Patterson, Louisiana; and her brothers Larry Joe Williams (Amanda Williams) of Patterson, Louisiana, Eric Louis (Debra) of Patterson, Louisiana, Shelby Roberson of Morgan City, Louisiana, Dr. Clifford Roberson, Jr., Atlanta, Georgia and Donald of Morgan City, Louisiana. Frances was predeceased by her brothers the late Ernest Ray Darnell and the late Dan Robertson of Patterson Louisiana.
Frances also leaves behind her godmother Jackie Brown of Patterson Louisiana and her goddaughter's Martha Stewart of Mississippi, Fadisca Johnson-Thompson of Tennessee, and Taniah Matticka of Manchester.
Connecticut. She also leaves behind her favorite cousins Edith Williams of Texas and Wanda Faye Palmer of Arizona and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. She would also like to honor her lifelong friends Ann and Jerry Lewis (godparents to Keyia), Jackie Valteau (godmother to Brionne), Carol Johnson, Patricia Bridget and her Connecticut sister club; Maria “Lucy” Cox, Delphine Cortes, Michelle Johnson-Thomas, Michelle Rowley, Evelyn Boyce, Mary Carruthers, Lou Henderson, Bernice Babino, Rashee Russell and a host of family and friends.
