We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Ernest Gouch, an adored member and resident of the Harc community on Sunday 11/7/2021. Ernie was an accomplished artist, an enthusiastic actor, and a permanent fixture at Harc’s Life Enrichment program. He was best known for his most prized role as “Batman” in Harc’s 2015-2016 Unified Theater production. One of his favorite pastimes was playing board games, especially winning at Trouble and Dominos, because if he lost, you were cheating. A former resident of Capen Street in Hartford, he was predeceased by his beloved grandmother, Miss Mattie. He leaves behind his cousin, Lorray White, his close friend and guardian Renee Walkley, as well as many friends, family members and supporters. Affectionately known as “Ernie the Grouch”, he will be most remembered for his spunk, quick-wit and playful sense of humor.
