Donald Ramon Frye of Hartford Connecticut (formally of Boston Massachusetts) was born on July 14,1934, in Providence, Rhode Island, peacefully departed this life on Friday, June 7, 2024.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents Charles Authur Garfield Frye, Consuelo Zamora, two brothers Joseph Frye, James Carter, and his son Ramon Frye.
He is survived by his benevolent children Maurice Elliott, Gail Harris, Linda Rivera (Miguel Jr.), Donald Frye Jr., Consuelo Frye and Leoncio Frye. Two sisters, Pearl Williams Frye, Christine Grimes Frye, one brother Winston Joyner a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Donald enlisted with the United States Marine Crop in 1953 to serve his country. He then dedicated many years of his life gainful employed with Massachusetts Public School System where he was a teacher, swim coach and avid member of the Boys Club in Roxbury Massachusetts. He was known for his dedication and infinite love for his students and faculty.
Donald was known for playing his Harmonica (which he had many of them), his love for food especially sweets, dressing to the nine while looking dapper, Mpr radio, a good newspaper, coffee, taking photos, telling stories, Joking, playing cards, cooking, and most importantly spending time with his family.
