Don Victor Alarcon

Don Victor Alarcon, 93, of Hartford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 19, 2024. Born in Maricao, Puerto Rico to Esmeralda Cruz and Pedro Alarcon.Don Victor was a caring and loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Don Victor could put a smile on anyone’s face. People often remembered him because of his comedic ways. His humor and smile will be missed. 
Don Victor as everyone called him was always strong and independent. He would go out of his way to help someone in need. He was known for driving everyone places they needed to go; whether it was school, work or doctor’s appointments. He was always a phone call away and Victor was there quickly. 

He is survived by his first wife Genara Ortiz-Alarcón, a sister Gloria Alarcon, his children Delines Alarcon(Alberto),Victor Alarcon (Maura),Victor “JR” Alarcon(Angela),Jose L. Alarcon (Jamylah),Zobeida Guayara-Alarcon(Jaime) and Marlene Gonzalez. Step-daughters Aida Vasquez(Jose)and Andea Castro(Jay). Don Victor is also survived by his grandchildren Angelines Delapaz(Karon),Christine Leal (Alberto), Erica Guayara, Víctor and Alexander Alarcon, Jamil Alarcon, Jahir Rau, Madison Mannarino, Landon, Bronson and Myles Alarcon, Kaylani and Jayvon Muniz, Jaynieyah Feliciano, Davionz, Legennd and Maeson Ayala, Karissa Santos,Gabriela García.
Great-granddaughters Penelope and Delilah Collins, and Aria Leal. He also leaves behind many nieces,nephew’s and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Ivelise “Lissy” Mannarino-Alarcon, and granddaughters Aidalisse “Aidita” Areizaga and Alanah Ava Rodríguez.

The family would like to thank Saint Mary’s Home staff and Peyton the ICU nurse from Saint Francis Hospital for caring for him.

Prayer services will be held at the Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield CT on June 27, 2024 at 11:30 AM to honor and remember Don Victor Alarcon.
