Delores Ann Timmons was born in Americus, Georgia, on June 5, 1948, to Ruby Mae Tyson. She was the oldest born of four siblings. She worked for the State of Connecticut Department of Revenue Services for over 20 years.

Delores married George Wesley Timmons moved with her husband to Fort Polk, LA, in 1966. From this union came two children, George and Tyrell. Delores’ life had its fair share of peaks and lows, but she found her strength in assisting others in need. Later in life, she found great joy in being a grandmother and strengthening her bond with her sons. She was a woman that always said what was on her mind, but deep down, she was a kind and caring soul.
