Daniel "Danny/OG" Tavares

Daniel "Danny/OG" Tavares, 68, of New Britain, CT was called home on 12/25/23 in his home.
Danny was born on March 11, 1956 to Catherine Byrd and Eugene Tavares in Manhattan, New York. After graduating from high school, He went on to study Animal Science. 
Danny was predeceased by his mother "Catherine Byrd", his father "Eugene Tavares", his sister "Jean Tavares", his son "Mike Haskell, and his late brother. Danny is survived by his wife "Joanne "Jo" Tavares", his daughters Teonna McKinnon, Yuri "Yo", Tia "Tia-Wheat", and Gigi "Gigiwigi" Tavares. He was also survived by his grandkids Kyaon Ritchens, Mike Haskell Jr., and Jalen Smith. 
Danny was a hard-working, loving, charismatic man who enjoyed cooking for his family and loved-ones. You knew he was nearby if you smelled Joop or Obsession. He was known to always have a clean cut and be well dressed. He had a love for cars, especially cougars. He was a movie fanatic, he especially enjoyed sci-fi and horror and left a massive collection behind. 
When he wasn't inside he enjoyed strolling around the city taking in nature. He will be missed and remembered by his family and friends that loved him dearly.
