Clarissa LaDawn Mitchell

Clarissa LaDawn Mitchell, 39 of East Hartford passed away peacefully on Saturday, August, 12th, 2023.

Born on August 19th, 1983 in Hartford, CT to Sabrina Johnson and the late Steven Mitchell, Clarissa was affectionately known as “Muffin” she was raised in East Hartford, CT.  She Graduated from East Hartford High School. Throughout her childhood she participated in track and Field as well as Step/Drill Team. she always enjoyed cooking, dancing, singing and music. But most importantly, she enjoyed being a mom to her Children. her smile always light up a room.

Her memory will be cherished by her Beautiful children, Jalen, Maina, Myron, Noah, Zaire, and Lourdes. Her siblings, Taylor Lewis, Monique, Quadele, and Steven Mitchell Jr. along with a  host of nieces, Nephews and Cousins as well as Special Friends who have became family over the years.  Her  loving Grandmother Jean Johnson, Uncles, Edgar Redding, Ernest Mitchell Jr. Carey  Blanks, along with her God Father Nathaniel Arter. Her Aunts Sandra Redding, Dawn Johnson Arter and Diane Gore.

She was pre-Deceased by her Grandparents  Curtis Johnson, Ernest and Barbara Mitchell. Her Godmother Emma Thomas.  uncles Mark Johnson, Larry Davis and Terrance Mitchell, Aunts Terrelyn Johnson, Rose Michelle Johnson.
