Clarence Kearney Obituary

Clarence H. Kearney (Sonny) 84 of Manchester, CT. beloved husband of Betty (Myers) Kearney passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Manchester Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side.  Sonny was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on December 25, 1931 son of the late Friend and Eva (Parker) Kearney. Sonny has lived in  Manchester since 1965. Sonny worked as a Sous Chef for The Windsor House Restaurant, McCook Hospital, Aetna Insurance Company before he retired in 1995. Sonny served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Sonny is survived by his wife of 59 years Betty, 3 sons Dwight (Harriet) Kearney of Tenn, Craig Kearney of Manchester, Neal Kearney of Bloomfield and a daughter Yvonne (Harold) Blanchard of Bloomfield. Sonny is also survived by his brother Gerald Kearney (Elizebeth) of Dallas, Texas, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and his Aunt, Louise Williams of Scranton, PA. Sonny will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. As per Sonny's wishes he will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016, 3 p.m. @ All Faith Memorial Chapel, 90 John Fitch Boulevard  S. Windsor, CT. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made in Clarence's name, to the  American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association or to a charity of the donor's choice..
