Christine Camacho, 38, of Hartford, CT, passed away on June 3, 2025. Christine was born on February 23, 1987, in Hartford to Grisell Maisonet of Manchester and the late Hector Camacho. She was a beloved mother, daughter, friend, and soon-to-be grandmother. Christine was known for her beautiful and uplifting spirit—always willing to give the shirt off her back to help someone in need. She had a heart for service, often preparing meals not only for friends and family but also for those experiencing homelessness. Just recently, she had been serving food to the homeless in her community.
Christine loved nature and the outdoors. She was always on the go and never one to sit still for long. Her energy and warmth touched all who knew her.
Besides her mother she is survived by a stepfather, Chris Stanton and her four daughters: Suzy, Nyasia, Jaliah, and her youngest, affectionately known as Lilly “Lilly Bear” Figueroa. Besides her father she was predeceased her step father by whom she was raised, Pedro Santiago, her brother, Brandon Santiago; her sister, Ariel Santiago.
Christine graduated from East Hartford High School and worked for several years in Human Resources. More recently, she was ordained as a minister and had been teaching Sunday School. She was also employed at a homeless shelter in Hartford, where she found great joy in cooking, playing games, and offering support to the community.
Her life will be celebrated on June 17, 2025, at 12:00 AM at All Faith Memorial Chapel, 90 Fitch Blvd., South Windsor, CT 06074. With the family receiving friends from 10 am. The burial Burial will take place in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT after her celebration
