Charlie Rodriguez Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charlie Rodriguez, 59, on October 27th. Born on August 27, 1965, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Charlie was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, grandson, brother, and friend.

Charlie was a faithful servant of God and a man of many talents with a heart full of love. His charm and humor made him a light in the lives of all who knew him. A gifted musician, he found joy in sharing his music and making others smile. He carried a spirit of warmth and kindness, always ready to lend a hand or share many laughs.

For over 15 years, Charlie worked at Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford, CT. He was a dedicated professional, committed to his work and his colleagues. In addition, he served as a treasurer, mentor, and musician in various churches, where his faith and musical talents made a lasting impact. As a youth, Charlie was a part of the Royal Rangers at Templo Fe Church in Hartford, CT, where he embraced their mission of evangelizing, equipping, and empowering Christlike men and lifelong servant leaders.

Charlie’s passions extended beyond work and service. He was a die-hard New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys fan, cheering on his teams with unwavering enthusiasm. He was also an avid fan of kung fu movies and comedy, finding joy in both creating and appreciating moments of laughter. His deep love for music, his devotion to his family, and his joy in vacationing and making memories with those he encountered were at the heart of who he was.

Charlie is survived by his beloved wife, Margarita, and his three daughters: Vanessa, Olga, and Kassandra. He leaves behind six cherished grandchildren: Alex, Manny, Josiah, Cameron, Alorah, and Omari, who brought him immense pride and joy. He is also survived by his great-grandmother, Bienvenida, and his six siblings: Betzy, Tita, Alby, Nilsa, Rigo, Gonzalo and Edwin. Charlie was preceded in death by his mother, Olga, and his father, Gonzalo.

A dedicated family man, Charlie’s greatest joy was being surrounded by those he loved. His family was his greatest treasure, and he was always there to support and uplift them in every way possible. His love, kindness, and zest for life touched the lives of many, and his memory will forever be cherished.

A memorial service will be held at All Faith Memorial Chapel in South Windsor on November 4th from 3-5 pm, where family and friends can come together to honor and celebrate Charlie’s life.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the honor of knowing him. Charlie’s legacy of steadfast faith, love, laughter, and music will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
