Charlie Ed Jackson

Charlie Ed Jackson, passed away on January 8, 2020 at the age of 74, in Hartford, CT.  

He was born on June 25, 1945 in Dawson, Georgia and was raised in Sanford, Florida. 

He enjoyed watching television, playing with his electronics, shopping on Amazon, cleaning his car, maintaining his lawn, and spending time with his family.  He also enjoyed hanging out with his friends, especially Perry Booker and Lewis Robinson. 

He graduated from Crooms Academy, where he played football. He served in the military for four years and later went onto pursue a Business Degree.  He began his career at Pratt and Whitney in 1967, as a Mechanic and was later promoted to the position of a General Foreman until he retired in February 2001. 

He was predeceased by his mother, Mildred Moore, his father, Eddie Jackson, his stepfather, Tony Moore, his brother Leonard Jackson, his grandson, Christopher Jackson, his cousin, William Leon Mobley and his beloved aunt, Gladys Mobley. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia Jackson, of 54 years and his sons, Charles G. Jackson (Shiryel Jackson) of East Hartford, Marcus Jackson (Dawn Harris-Jackson) of East Granby and Thomas Fowler of Hartford, CT.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brittney Jackson, Breanna Jackson, Tyra Jackson, Marcus Joshua Jackson, Janelle Jackson,his great grandson, Alijah Simon, his two sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. 

He was adored by many and will be greatly missed. 

A celebration of his life will take place on Tuesday, January 14that Shiloh Baptist Church on 350 Albany Avenue, Hartford, CT. Calling hour 10:00 a.m. and Funeral service 11:00 a.m.  Funeral services for Charlie are being provided by All Faith Memorial.
