Charles Robinson, Jr

Charles Robinson Jr, the son of the late Bessie Taylor and Charles Robinson Sr. passed away on November 16, 2022  He was born on August 19, 1946, in Humboldt. He was converted at an early age at Morning Star Baptist Church.

He graduated from Stigall High in 1964 and continued his education at Vaughn Barber school, where he graduated with his barber license. After Barber school, he and his former wife Carol Robinson moved to Hartford, Ct.

He was employed at Johnny Barber Salon for twenty years; then, he became the owner of Mr. C Barber and Beauty salon, where he retired. He loved cutting hair and was still loyal to a few customers that came to his home to get haircuts. 

Charles joined the Masonic order in Hartford, Ct, on October 11, 1977. He was active in several houses, including St Peter’s lodge #20, Ruth chapter #25, Makalia temple 172, Hartford consistory #80, and Joshua chapter#2. Charles’ title in the masonic order included Past Grand Master and Most worshipful Grandmaster.

Charles leaves to cherish his memories of caring and loving son and daughter Gary and Kimberly Robinson of Manchester, CT. Six grandchildren Asjah, Dominique, Sonquita, Arica, Joshua, and Malik Robinson. Four great-grandchildren Aria, Harmony, Melody, and Keanu. Brothers Percey Robinson and Terry Robinson of Humbolt, TN. Sister-in-law Barbara Robinson of Bloomfield, CT, Edward Robinson of Bloomfield, Ct, God-daughter Cynthia Shepard, and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Bessie Taylor and Charles Robinson Sr. Brother Alfonso Robinson, Sisters Mary Glenn and Elizabeth Taylor.

"Suppose my parting has left a void. Then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared a laugh, a kiss. Oh yes, these things, I, too, will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. Look for the sunshine of tomorrow".
