Blanchard Bernard Baisden affectionately known as “Wheatie” or “Shrek” suddenly departed this life on
April 25, 2021. Wheatie was a devoted family man who gave all of his heart to his family and friends.
He enjoyed basketball, cars, playing cards, telling stories and overall being the life of every party.
But most importantly he enjoyed life whether good or bad.
Blanchard “Wheatie” Bernard Baisden, son of the late Larry Davis and Willette Baisden was born September 4 th, 1981 in Hartford, Connecticut. His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: Emyzha Monae (My-My), Blanchard Bernard Jr. (BJ) and Kiejuan Tawan. His sisters Vontressa and Melissa. Brothers Furney, Brandon, Terrell Hunter, and Jamahl Hosendove. His niece Ashanti, nephews Rahmad, Sean, and Liam. His devoted grandmother Jean Johnson. His great aunt Ollie Carnegie and great uncle Edward Anderson. His uncles Edgar, Nathaniel and Richard. His loving aunts Renee, Sandra, Sabrina, and Dawn. His special cousin Terrell.
The devoted mother of his children Shakari. His stepfather Curtis Walker. His Godson Richard Jr., God Brother Tylon and a host of cousins, friends and associates that loved him dearly.
His second family, mother Mary Chapman, brothers Jermaine, Keon, Richard, Armando, Ted, Akeem, Rodney, Kendall, Taurien, Ameer and Marsell. His sisters Starri, Tameika, Amanda, and Jessica. His four special brothers Barry, Don, Yellz, and KT and his Best Friend Tarria.
And a special recognition to his Edgewood Street / Oakland Terrace family and Childhood friend Rayshawn.
Blanchard was predeceased by his grandparents Richard and Josephine Carnegie. His uncles Kevin Carnegie and Mark Johnson. His Aunts Terrilyn and Rose Johnson.
