Annie Lois Holliday, age 86, of Windsor, Connecticut, passed away peacefully in Hartford,
Connecticut on January 15, 2022. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and
Strength that touched the lives of family and friends alike.
Annie was born in Augusta, Georgia and moved to Connecticut at a young age. She graduated
from Weaver High School and continued her education at Greater Hartford Community College
and Central Connecticut State University.
She began her professional career in bookkeeping and accounting and gained employment with
G. Fox & Co. and continuing with Kimberly Hall and Accessory Controls and Equipment, where
she faithfully worked for more than 20 years before retiring.
Annie was known for her incredible patience and her love of reading. Wherever she traveled she
carried books with her and could often be found reading throughout the day or before bedtime.
She was also an amazing baker and was widely known among family and friends for her famous
“30-Day Cake,” which became a cherished tradition during the holidays. She also had a special
talent for sewing and creating clothing and gifts for loved ones. Many of her nieces and nephews
affectionately referred to her as “Aunt Lois,” remembering her generosity, guidance, and loving
spirit. Annie Lois Holiday will always be remembered as a woman of strength, honor, love, and
resilience — a devoted sister, aunt, advisor, caretaker, and friend whose spirit continue to live
