Angel Rafael Rodriguez Descarte

Angel Rafael Rodriguez Descarte, lovingly known as “Kiko,” of Hartford Ct, passed away unexpectedly on February 16, 2026. He was 65 years old.

Born on April 18, 1960, in Corozal, Puerto Rico. Angel was the beloved son of Jose Luis Rodriguez “Cheli” and Rosa Lydia Descarte. Stepson of Jose Maldonado “Cheo”.

Angel was a devoted family man and a skilled mechanic who was well known and respected by many throughout the Hartford area. He was never one to sit still and was always willing to lend a helping hand. In recent years, his declining health took a toll on him, but his strength and love for his family never wavered.

He was a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished every moment spent with his children and the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy. Family was the center of his world.

Angel is survived by his loving children: Maria E. Cruz “Puchi” (predeceased), Rosa L. Rodriguez “Rosin,” Yolanda Rivera “Lolo,” Elizabeth Ball “Titabeth,” Vanessa Cotto, Angel Rivera “P,” Angela Rodriguez, Angel Rodriguez Erazo “Angel,” and Angel Rodriguez “Bebe.”

He is also survived by his siblings: Jose Javier Rodriguez “Pepe”, Maria Delcarmen Rodriguez “Muda”, Jose Ivan Rodriguez “Jose”, Jose Luis Rodriguez “Luis”, Wanda Ivette Rodriguez “Eve”, and Jose Alberto Maldonado “Pito”. He was predeceased by his sister, Graciela Mercedes Rodriguez.

Angel leaves behind countless grandchildren and great-grandchildren, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.

His legacy of love, hard work, and dedication to family will continue to live on in all who knew him.
