Andriel Hopkins Obituary
Andriel Lamont Hopkins, 41, of Hartford, CT departed his life on May 13, 2018 at Kimberly Hall. Andriel was born on November 1, 1976 to Bonita Hopkins and the late Robert Atkinson. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his stepfather Grayling Canon and grandparents Betty Lively, Annie Ruth Thomas and James W. Hopkins.
Andriel AKA Drell was a former employee of Eastern Net Printing Press. Drell was a son, grandson, brother, uncle, and cousin, but his most important role was being a father. You'd know it by how much he talked about his three children and he would talk about them to anyone who listened. He was known for playing video games, keeping up with his teams (Go Celtics and The Cowboys!), and just making people around him laugh. Those traits are remembered in our hearts and in his three children. Each one carrying a piece of their father within them. From the way they all laugh, to the way they all resemble him. They'll always have those moments with their Dad.
He is survived by two beautiful daughters, Shadae (Joshua) Jenkins and Naima Alexander. One son, Delvone Hopkins. The parents of his children, Mary Jo who he shared childhood memories and laughter. Marquila Alexander, who was his caregiver and ride or die. Three sisters, Sharese Hopkins, Charlena Gibson and Kristal Lewis all of Hartford, CT. Step grandmother Carol Hopkins of SC. A host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
